This time of year there is nothing I love more than to curl up in a blanket with an nice hot cup of tea. The sweet warm liquid seems to seep all the way down to my toes and warms me completely from the inside out. It is also my beverage of choice to help me through when the cold or flu strikes. The properties of steeped herbs and tea leaves can help boost our immune system and help clear up congestion and relieve sore throats. But this year I am bound and determined to not let the flu even in the door. Instead of waiting for illness to set in I have been drinking the new Hippie Homesteader tea PROTECT.
PROTECT is just one of four teas I have developed to add to my line of essential oil and herbal products. With a green tea base it is loaded with antioxidants and contains strong antibacterial and antiviral agents. I then added catnip, echinacea, elderberry, and eucalyptus to boost its immune strengthening properties. And to finish it off I combined all natural honey, orange, and lemon flavoring to give it a delightfully light and citrusy flavor you will just love.
